Good Garage Scheme Launches Campaign with Accept Cards Ltd To Help Members Out Of The Recession
Members of the UK-wide Good Garage Scheme are being given a helping hand amid reports that the UK is emerging from recession.
The Good Garage Scheme has teamed up with Accept Cards Ltd, officially licensed by Mastercard and Visa International as an Independent Sales Organisation Member Service Provider, in an exclusive card payment services offer to its 2,756-strong membership of independent workshops and garages. Accept Cards, who have access to the UK’s lowest rates processing card transactions, is offering Good Garage Scheme members the chance to save money when taking payment via debit and credit cards. Not only will members benefit from preferential merchant card processing rates, but there is no minimum monthly service charge, no authorisation fees and no refund fees for credit cards.
Anndi Sheppard, Campaign Manager of the Good Garage Scheme, said: “We asked members what they were being charged on terminals from banks and we found Accept Cards could offer them a better deal. Although reports are suggesting the UK is emerging from the recession, the trading climate remains tough and we are committed to doing all we can to help our membership continue to thrive during these challenging times.”
The Good Garage Scheme has 2,756 independent member workshops and garages that adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and offer an Industry Standard Service. It also operates a customer feedback system, highlighting the areas of best practice and areas for improvement which are identified by motorists using member garages for work. A five-star rating system is produced for each member garage on the Good Garage Scheme website www.goodgaragescheme.com, based on the feedback forms, to help potential future customers find the best workshop in their area.
Nationally, the Good Garage Scheme receives around 30,000 hits to its website and around 12,000 customer feedback forms every month while member garages that fail to submit any feedbacks are investigated and potentially removed from the scheme.
Editor’s note:
